Up and Down week
Crazy week for the Flyers. You seen what they are capable of offensively and than you see them breakdown defensively. They beat Toronto, then lost 9-8 to Winnipeg. After the game, the goalie took all blame saying he can't save anything right now. Then Saturday came and they took on the Carolina Hurricanes where they pulled out a 5-1 victory.. Finally got the much needed home win. Now they look forward to playing the Sabres on Wednesday in Buffalo. Should be interesting.

5-3-1
Flyers lose last night in Montreal in what I consider a poor performance. After scoring the first goal in the first period, (Jagr) the Flyers gave up 5 unanswered as they were blown out 5-1. Still without Captain Chris Pronger who got hit in the eye with the stick. Doctors say he will be okay, but he won't be allowed to play unless he starts to wear a visor. On the other handle, the Flyers have a home game today against the new Winnipeg Jets. Then another game on Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes. It's been a tough stretch for them hopefully they can get back on the winning side of things.

Flyers are on a losing skid
Flyers have lost their last 3 out 4 games after starting 3-0. Of course nobody will ever go 82-0, but the fans are getting restless already. They want their team to win especially when they are losing home games which are a given advantage. . Anyways no need to panic, they are a young team and only good can come from a losing streak. They look to rebound on the winning streak as they welcome Toronto Maple Leafs into town as leading NHL scorer Phil Kessel tries to deliver another crushing home defeat to our Flyers.. Game is at 7 on CSN.

Big Game Tonight!
Flyers take on the Washington Capitals tonight at 7 PM on CSN. They both have something in common, as they both had key off-season pickups. They both picked up strong goaltenders and so far are living up to their hype. ( or their paychecks) Anyways the Flyers, look to spoil the Capitals 5-0 start. Jody Shelley will be returning after he served his 5 game suspension for a boarding penalty. Also, Flyers have sent Zach Rinaldo back down to the AHL and call-up the 20 year old prospect Brayden Schenn to play his first NHL game. On Tuesday Night, the Flyers destroyed Ottawa Senators 7-2. Bobvorsky was in net.

Flyers are off to a great start getting 7 out of 8 possible points. They lost Saturday in OT 3-2 to the Kings. Former Captain Mike Richards made his return to Philly, setting up the game winning goal in OT. Anyways, Flyers are looking to get back to the win column as they will face the Ottawa Senators tomorrow at 7.

Wednesday-Home Opener
Not much to talk about right now for the Flyers have been off for a couple days. There last game was on Saturday night. There next will be on Wednesday against Vancouver. New Flyers are looking forward to finally show what they can do in front of their fans. In other news, Blair Betts is back with the Flyers after being claimed off waivers by the Canadians. The Canadians said that Betts did not pass their physical and asked the Commisioner to reinstate Betts back to the Flyers. He will mostly like be playing in the AHL for now.

2-0
Flyers are looking amazing as they are off to a 2-0 start in the regular season. They beat the reigning Champs 2-1 on Friday in Boston. They spoiled their banner raising night. Then drove to Newark where they played the Devils in a hard fought 3-0 victory. I am glad to see that we have good momentum going as we take on a Western Conference powerhouse, Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday. This will be the Flyers home opener. Looking forward to it.

Season starts Thursday.
Flyers preaseason is finally over. They will play the defending Stanley Cup Champions (Boston Bruins) on Thursday in Boston. Hopefully we send a message early and show that we have what it takes to make noise in the Eastern Conference. Very impressive preseason. Hopefully you fans caught a couple preaseason games at home or at Wells Fargo Center. Can't wait til Thursday.
