Flyers
Flyers have been off until Tuesday where they play the Washington Capitals. Injuries still plague the Flyers. Now with Pronger out indefinitely with concussion symptoms there will be no timetable for his return. NHL Leading Point Scorer Giroux left the game against Lightning after taking a knee to the head. He missed practice today probably as a precaution. So they look to the young guys to come through as 2 of our best players are out.

Flyers
Flyers are on a nice 5 game win streak. Recently they beat the Sabres, Penguins and Lightning. All three were playoff contenders last year. They Flyers were down 0-3 against the Sabres when they came back and won in OT off Giroux's goal. The Penguins game they won 3-2. They Flyers were up 3-0 while the Penguins were slowly coming back but Bryzgalov made some key saves to secure the win. The Flyers won yesterday against the Lightning 5-2.

Next Game Wednesday
Flyers have been off since Saturday and will play on Wednesday at 7:30 against the Sabres. The game will be shown on Versus. The Flyers begin a tough stretch before the Holiday Break where they will play the Lightning, Penguins, Capitals and Canadians all before mid-Dec. This will really test the team to see if they can hang with elite teams like the Capitals and Penguins. However, the Capitals have been struggling lately.

Flyers
Flyers came back from 0-3 in Anaheim to get the Win in Overtime. The goals were scored by Jagr(2), Hartnell and Giroux. Bryzgalov after letting in a soft goal bounced back and kept his team in the game with a couple huge saves. After the win the Flyers hopped onto the plane for a trip to Phoenix. They played back-to-back nights and came out with the win as well. Flyers scored 4 goals in the first period and held onto that lead winning the game 4-2. Read, Simmonds, Hartnell, and Giroux had the goals and Bryzgalov had 36 saves.

Next Game Friday
Flyers lost Saturday to the Rangers 2-0. They didn't play their best game and couldn't find the net. They now embark on a west side road trip where they face the Anaheim Ducks on Friday. The week off is good for the Flyers since they have a lot of key players injured. Hopefully, we can get our players healthy and continue to play great hockey. On a side note, Flyers Captain Chris Pronger is out 4-6 weeks as he will undergo knee surgery.

Flyers
Flyers happened to lose the game on Monday to the Hurricanes 4-2. They than traveled to New York where they faced the Islanders on Wednesday. They pulled a 4-3 Overtime victory as Danny Briere scored to tie it up at 3, and than got the game winner in OT. On Black Friday the Flyers took on the Canadians at Home where they got a 3-1 victory. Giroux had 2 goals. The Flyers were busy this week and managed to get a couple of key wins to stay near the top of the Eastern Conference.

Flyers....
Flyers play tonight at 7 against the Carolina Hurricanes again. They beat them 2 times already this season. Hurricanes have been struggling lately. Flyers look to get a rebound win after losing a tough one against the Winnipeg Jets. They almost made a terrific 4 goal comeback but ran out of time losing 6-4. Anyways, Pronger and Coburn won't play in tonight's game. 2 Phantoms have been called up. Jagr is still injured as well.

Flyers...Home Tonight
After defeating Carolina Hurricanes on Monday the Flyers went a solid 2-0-1 on their 3 game road trip. Flyers won 5-3 with Claude Giroux finishing with 2 goals. Talbot, Simmonds and Read also got on the board. Bobrovsky started in net and had only 17 shots. Tonight Bryzgalov welcomes back his old team the Phoenix Coyotes. The Coyotes are the surpise team of the West right now as they sit 3rd in the standings. Coyotes like the Flyers are amazing on the road. Flyers however should have the advantage since they are home.

Flyers win 3-2
After about 4 days off since there OT loss to Tampa Bay, the Flyers took the ice to win 3-2 against Florida Panthers. Florida scored with 8 seconds left to get down by 1. Goals scored by Brierre, Coburn, and Read. Read scored on a rare short handed penalty shot. Bryzgalov had a solid game behind the pipes saving 32 shots. Flyers play today against Carolina Hurricanes on CSN at 7 o'clock.

OT Loss
Flyers lost in Tampa Bay in OT 2-1.. It was a very boring game. Not much going on offensively for either teams. Hartnell scored the lone Flyers goal that game on the power play. Bryzgalov had 24 saves and had no chance on either goals. They are staying in Florida until Sunday where they will play the Panthers. Panthers are a team that is looking to get better than there last place finish last year.

Game on Wednesday
Flyers have had about 5 days off since their last game. They look to face the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday at 7. Once again it will be on CSN. The Flyers have been dominant on road games. They are 5-1 on the road. It's weird that most of their struggles have been playing at home. Injuries still are a factor as they keep calling people up from their AHL team.

Flyers
Flyers came away with 3 out of 4 possible points over their last 2 games. They lost to New Jersey in a shootout on Thursday. Than beat Columbus in a blowout 9-2 on Saturday. I was at the game and it was insane. Never been to such a one-sided high scoring game. Anyways, Flyers are dealing with a decent amount of injuries and it's not even mid-season. Chris Pronger is skating with the team which is a good sign since some thought he never would play again after suffering an eye injury a couple weeks ago against Toronto.

Up and Down week
Crazy week for the Flyers. You seen what they are capable of offensively and than you see them breakdown defensively. They beat Toronto, then lost 9-8 to Winnipeg. After the game, the goalie took all blame saying he can't save anything right now. Then Saturday came and they took on the Carolina Hurricanes where they pulled out a 5-1 victory.. Finally got the much needed home win. Now they look forward to playing the Sabres on Wednesday in Buffalo. Should be interesting.

5-3-1
Flyers lose last night in Montreal in what I consider a poor performance. After scoring the first goal in the first period, (Jagr) the Flyers gave up 5 unanswered as they were blown out 5-1. Still without Captain Chris Pronger who got hit in the eye with the stick. Doctors say he will be okay, but he won't be allowed to play unless he starts to wear a visor. On the other handle, the Flyers have a home game today against the new Winnipeg Jets. Then another game on Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes. It's been a tough stretch for them hopefully they can get back on the winning side of things.

Flyers are on a losing skid
Flyers have lost their last 3 out 4 games after starting 3-0. Of course nobody will ever go 82-0, but the fans are getting restless already. They want their team to win especially when they are losing home games which are a given advantage. . Anyways no need to panic, they are a young team and only good can come from a losing streak. They look to rebound on the winning streak as they welcome Toronto Maple Leafs into town as leading NHL scorer Phil Kessel tries to deliver another crushing home defeat to our Flyers.. Game is at 7 on CSN.

Big Game Tonight!
Flyers take on the Washington Capitals tonight at 7 PM on CSN. They both have something in common, as they both had key off-season pickups. They both picked up strong goaltenders and so far are living up to their hype. ( or their paychecks) Anyways the Flyers, look to spoil the Capitals 5-0 start. Jody Shelley will be returning after he served his 5 game suspension for a boarding penalty. Also, Flyers have sent Zach Rinaldo back down to the AHL and call-up the 20 year old prospect Brayden Schenn to play his first NHL game. On Tuesday Night, the Flyers destroyed Ottawa Senators 7-2. Bobvorsky was in net.

Game Tomorrow
Flyers are off to a great start getting 7 out of 8 possible points. They lost Saturday in OT 3-2 to the Kings. Former Captain Mike Richards made his return to Philly, setting up the game winning goal in OT. Anyways, Flyers are looking to get back to the win column as they will face the Ottawa Senators tomorrow at 7.

Flyers beat Vancouver Canucks. Goals scored by Giroux, Pronger, JVR, Vorecek and Mezsaros. Bryzgalov registered 36 saves in a stellar performance. Former Captain Mike Richards makes his return to Philly on Saturday. This time he won't be wearing the Orange & Black but the Black & Silver. Flyers vs Kings - 7PM on Comcast Sportsnet.

Wednesday-Home Opener
Not much to talk about right now for the Flyers have been off for a couple days. There last game was on Saturday night. There next will be on Wednesday against Vancouver. New Flyers are looking forward to finally show what they can do in front of their fans. In other news, Blair Betts is back with the Flyers after being claimed off waivers by the Canadians. The Canadians said that Betts did not pass their physical and asked the Commisioner to reinstate Betts back to the Flyers. He will mostly like be playing in the AHL for now.

2-0
Flyers are looking amazing as they are off to a 2-0 start in the regular season. They beat the reigning Champs 2-1 on Friday in Boston. They spoiled their banner raising night. Then drove to Newark where they played the Devils in a hard fought 3-0 victory. I am glad to see that we have good momentum going as we take on a Western Conference powerhouse, Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday. This will be the Flyers home opener. Looking forward to it.

Season starts Thursday.
Flyers preaseason is finally over. They will play the defending Stanley Cup Champions (Boston Bruins) on Thursday in Boston. Hopefully we send a message early and show that we have what it takes to make noise in the Eastern Conference. Very impressive preseason. Hopefully you fans caught a couple preaseason games at home or at Wells Fargo Center. Can't wait til Thursday.

On a roll
Flyers won yet another preseason game beating the Rangers 5-3. It was a heated game as the rivalry continues with another close victory. Let's not forget these teams will be playing at the Winter Classic on New Years at Citizens Bank Park. Hopefully some of you are going. Next preseason game is Thursday against the Devils. I will be attending hoping to see some big-named starters get some playing time. Jagr is playing like he was in the mid 90s tallying up 3 goals in two preseason games. This season is looking bright.

Less than two weeks
Hockey season starts October 5th. Flyers so far are having a tremendous preseason looking very good. I am impressed with their off-season pick-ups and how they are playing so far. They are slowly trimming their roster size down as they continue to send people to the AHL or back the juniors. Comcast will be airing there game tomorrow night so make sure you check it out.

How's it going
My name is Jeff P. Hopefully you are a hockey fan just as much as I am. I have been playing hockey since a young age and have always been a Flyers fan. We did a lot of changes in the off-season getting rid of our core players, but I like what we did. We got younger and at the same time picked up a goalie. Anyways, preseason is underway as the Flyers are off to a 1-1 start. I hope when the regular season comes around we get our chemistry down and play like a team. Hopefully they will telecast more preseason games so we can get a glimpse of what to expect.
